August 5th-8th
I’m on the ferry to Juneau writing this update. This is really the last place for us to look in Southeast Alaska. I’ll arrive Monday morning at 4:30 a.m. I’ll spend 2 days dock-hopping looking for a boat.  It’ll take me two days to get back. I’ll fill you in on this trip when I get back.

July 31st
When we were in Petersburg we found a boat that looks good. However, my call was not returned until we had returned to Wrangell. Some folks in the church here (Bible Baptist Church) run a boat taxi service a few days a week. They let me dead-head there and back. I was able to get into the boat I missed before. Depending on what I find in Juneau we might me making an offer on one of the two boats in Petersburg.

July 25th-28th
It’s important that we do diligence to our search. We do not take lightly that the money we have for the boat has come from the Lord through His people. To that end, we are now in Ketchikan looking at boats. There are two we found that might work but one was just a hair too small and the other was way too expensive. So the search continues. It was nice to spend a few days in a slightly larger town. But, it’s not home.

July 19th-21st
We went to Petersburg to look for boats. We walked ‘til our feet hurt. There were several good prospects. Here are pictures of the two we particularly like. As the search goes on please keep praying.

July 18th
We’ve been unpacking and organizing. This is not fun! We haven’t seen most of this stuff for the 2 years of our furlough. It’s sorta like Christmas in July…if Christmas in July was frustrating and exasperating and un-enjoyable. But progress is being made.
